Recruitment FAQs

How long does your recruitment process typically take?

We’re aiming at making it as fast as it can be! If we determine early that you are not the candidate we’re looking for, we’ll let you know within 1-2 weeks of submitting your application. While we are doing our best to process each candidate as soon as possible, the whole recruitment process might last up to 3 weeks.

What do you do in those three weeks?

We try to do our best to make the recruitment process as easy as possible. After we check the applications, we have several steps in the process: invite qualified candidates to an interview, give them test tasks and conduct team fit interview stages. The whole process is designed to ensure we get the right fit for the position and introduce the candidates with how we work.

Who will I speak with during the recruitment process?
Throughout the first 3 stages, you will hear from someone from our Recruitment Team, the Hiring Manager for the position, and, for some roles, an additional member of the relevant hiring team.

Because it’s a remote job, why does it matter what time zone or region I’m in?
Most roles at Megarama require European/African timezone due to team collaboration and availability.

What is Megarama’s approach to Compensation?
At Megarama we do not factor in any differences in compensation based on where you are located. We believe everyone should be compensated based on the market value of their role and the value the role brings to the company. We also don’t believe in complicated bonus or equity schemes. Instead, we offer competitive gross salaries paid directly to our employees. Also, we do not offer paid days off.

For you this means to calculate your gross salary to be inclusive of all taxes and days off, when negotiating your desired salary level.

How does Megarama employ people?

At this time we are only able to provide official employment to those located in Israel. All other candidates join our team as full-time independent contractors and are responsible for paying any taxes or fees where they reside.

Why does Megarama fill roles with contractors?
We enable inclusivity by giving talents from various countries the opportunity to work with us! Because the labor and business laws are different in every country the easiest way to bring on talent outside of the country where we are registered is to do so on a freelance contractual basis.

What does it mean to work as a contractor for Megarama?
In general, the most important differences tend to be taxes, pension/retirement, and healthcare. The full burden of these items are the responsibility of the contractor.

I’ve never worked remotely before. How does it work?
There are many benefits of remote work: it enables better work-life balance, there is less commute stress, you can choose your own location to work and many more! What you need is a good internet connection and a device to work on. We use a number of online tools and services to foster collaboration, conduct meetings, share information, and work on projects. Working remotely is not new to us, we’ve been doing it since the beginning

Good luck!
